ECI Greenhouse
ECI’s new greenhouse is now in operation! 🌱 Our greenhouse will extend the growing season, allow us to garden in any weather, and provide protection from pests. This helps us grow more food at the Good Ground Heritage Garden for the St. Rosalie’s Community Food Pantry. The greenhouse will serve as a teaching garden for our members, where we will host classes and workshops!
We are grateful to The Michael and Annie Falk Foundation for donating our greenhouse! The Michael and Annie Falk Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of children and to preserving our environment by protecting animals and conserving natural resources. The foundation also supports and funds nonprofit organizations responding to environmental emergencies that adversely affect families and negatively impact the environment. Annie Falk participated in ECI’s Community Composting Program, and wrote about her experience on her blog: Composting For The Health Of Your Garden And The Environment.
