The Ecological Culture Initiative will take part in the Town of Southampton’s Earth Day Festival at Good Ground Park on Saturday, May 18th, 2019, 11 am - 3 pm at 9a Squiretown Road, Hampton Bays, NY 🌎🌱 (Rain date: Sunday, May 19th)
ECI will have a tent - please stop by to say hello to our volunteers! Other eco-friendly non-profits will participate including Slow Food East End, Perfect Earth Project, Surfrider Foundation, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Hampton Bays Beautification Association, and many more!
Demonstrations include composting, organic lawn care, and how to make bath bombs. Fun activities include face painting, yoga, pottery making, and hiking. And don’t miss the performance by the Good Ground Ukulele Players at 2 pm! We hope to see you there!! 🌎❤️

Celebrate Earth Day at Good Ground Park • Saturday, June 8th
The Town of Southampton will host an Earth Day Festival at Good Ground Park, 9a Squiretown Road in Hampton Bays on Saturday, May 18th from 11 am to 3 pm. There will be fun for the whole family.
The day kicks off with a Holiday Tree dedication at 11 am. The tree is being donated by a local nursery and will be lighted each year as part of the winter holiday season.
At 11:30 am, participants are invited to go on a nature walk through the Park’s walking trail, sponsored by the Southampton Trails Preservation Society and the Audubon Society.
At 12 noon and again at 1 pm, visitors can learn about composting from a master gardener.
Also, at 1 pm, there will be a Yoga class for adults and children. Don’t forget to bring your mats!
At 1:30 pm, there will be an organic lawn fertilizer demonstration. Learn how you can take care of your lawn by using organic ingredients.
At 2 pm, get into the spirit of Earth Day with a Ukulele ensemble that will be sure to get you on your feet. These are some talented folks!
Throughout the park there will be demonstrations that include pottery making, how to assemble bath bombs, face painting and exhibits from some eco-friendly vendors, including Surfrider Foundation, Seed Saver Exchange and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, to name a few.
